Using video editing software

donte-williams wrote on 8/24/2017, 11:12 AM

I am interested in purchasing some video software from Magix. Movie Edit Pro looks like the ideal purchase for me. Is it compatible for Windows10 64 bit? I want to edit music videos should I purchase iMovie or a different software for me to edit music videos?

Probably third-party software that was on your PC prior to installing with Sound Forge, Search your program files for clues as to the manufacturer. It may have been included with the PC but has nothing to with Sound Forge. SF does have the ability to 'playback' video though. "View> Video Preview"

With Vegas, there is an option to open an audio event or file with companion audio editing software like Sound Forge.

Hello Magix Community – I need help!

I am trying to drop a video clip into the “timeline
view” of the Edit screen, to play it back for viewing. When I do this, I
receive a note saying:

        The file 2017-08-23419.39.48.mp4 is not
contained within the product folder. This file should be

copied to the project folder if you plan on archiving this project
later, transporting it onto a different

computer or moving it.

If you wish to copy the file now, please click on “copy” You can however, import the files from your current folder.

To do this, click on “Copy” only. It may be the case

that you will no longer be able to load the movie after this operation

When I press “Copy” it tells me, program needs access to a file with MPEG-4 Codec.
Activation is required – would you like to activate MPEG-4 Codec now is free

When I press this, it says, This serial number has been registered to another email address.
Plase contact MAGIX SUPPORT (Error: -24)

What should I do?

Daddy

@jobie.slade

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

Your post has really nothing to do with this thread, which is a question about how/whether it is possible to use a video editing program from within Soundforge 10.

Please read this post and then start a new thread in the appropriate forum area, giving all the information requested and especially telling us exactly which Magix program and version you are using. Thank you.
