Using Samplitude as Guitar Amp

mark.thompson wrote on 12/22/2013, 12:53 AM

Sorry of what may be a novice question but I have recently purchased Samplitude Music Studio 2014. I am plugging in my guitar using a rock smith USB lead and I am able to record my guitar onto each track and then add in any effect that I have avalaible in the software. This is fantastic however what I don’t seem to be able to do is get any effects in real-time.

All I can hear is my guitar being played myself rather than anything coming out the PC. Is this correct. For example does Vandal only work after recording the track

When I look on the website its says that vandal can be used live for rehearsals as well as for recording?

Any help would be much appreciated

p.s. I hav heard teh forum posts on this and its seems I may not be abel to do this but I just want to be 100% sure

Hi

Where does it say you can use Vandal for live rehearsals using Music Studio 2014?

I suspect you are looking at the Samplitude specs which do state you can use Vandal for live rehearsals.

Samplitude Music Studio 2014 is a recording studio on a PC.

Samplitude is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) with recording capabilities, ie a mixing/recording  station with live effects and more.

It says it on the Vandal Website and Vandal is the plug in so I assumed (probably wrongly) that I could use the full functionality of Vandal in Samplidtude
