using Insta 360 one X .insp and .insv files in Movie Edit Pro

My 360 Camera creates files with a file extension that Movie edit pro does not recognize. is there a way to add those file extensions to the software so that movie edit pro can recognize them. They are H264 encoded MP4 files. I dont want to have to edit file extentions for all of my files.

@john-l

Hi

You should have some software (app) which came with camera for importing and converting the camera files to mp4, if not then you would need to use the Insta 360 One Studio software to convert the files to mp4 for importing into Movie Edit Pro.

They will not import into MEP because they are a custom format unique to the Insta camera.

That’s exactly what I am doing. Going forward it would be nice to avoid the extra step and be able to stitch and edit directly in MEP.

THANKS

Magix will not be able to use the excuse that the OneX format is "a custom format unique" when they support over 50 + formats already -- it's just a new format they need to 'get with' sooner that later before people like myself start looking for better video editing software that supports 360 formats. I have used Magix since the early days it was called VideoDeluxe and updated faithfully over the years but now, I am forced to look for alternative video editing software that supports these new 360 formats so I don't lose a generation coverting my files to an mp4 first. The Software that comes with the camera is good but nothing as flexible as Magix so it is just sad that the company is not figuring this out pronto! No excuses really work for producers.
