Keep in mind that the old Music Studio package, with the Logic-based MIDI sequencer ("Midi Studio"), saves to a completely different project file format. This file format also goes beyond just MIDI, even if you restricted yourself to creating MIDI tracks in your arrangement. If you want to port your material between the two programs, there's a little more to it. You will have to export the indivual MIDI/VST tracks as standard MID files. Those can be imported into Music Studio 12. If you do have audio tracks in your arrangement as well, export these individually as WAV files and bring them into Music Studio 12. That's probably the only workable solution.
