Welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community @Kathryn-Klvana.

Yes, one (perpetual) license will allow you to activate Sound Forge on two (2) PCs simultaneously. The '365' subscription versions can only be activated on on (1) device at a time.

Downloading is recommended. There will be (free) updates in the course of a version to fix bugs and/or to enhance performance. As I recall, there have been four or five SFP-15 (published) updates already and another one is pending. Updating is done by either downloading the patch or the full installer (either will update the version).
You can also save the current unpacked installer files on your hard drive or externally.. After installation, the unpacked installers will be in your "Documents> Magix Downloads> Installation manager" folder. You can also re-download the installer file from the Magix Service Center, which always has the version's latest build.

btw, after purchase, keep a record of the serial code and the email address you use when you initially register the product . The serial code and email address are paired, so you need both should you need activate SF on a new or alternate PC (or reactivate on an existing PC).

The Sound Forge 365 subscription version can only be used on one PC.
