There is no such program, the video editor is Video Pro X 14, Vitascene Pro 4 is a ProDad add-on for video editors.

The trial version of Video Pro X (VPX) does not have all the Extra Content including more Intros/Outros effects, features and video format support.

Yes and no,

Video Pro X has it own set of 'add-ons' which are stored in a different folder, you will need to download and install these once the full program has been activated.

3rd party addons such as Prodad Vitascene, NewBlue effects etc should be available in both programs when installed.

That is what the splash screen says, however it expires today.

Yes, however do note that if you create a project in VPX and open it in MMS 2023, if using a feature in VPX that is not in MMS, for example the Brightness/Contrast Gradation curve, then you will get an error message and the feature will not be available in MMS.

Hello John, ok, I purchased Video Pro X14 and installed/activated the NewBlue FX add-on. These appeared in the 'Effects' tab and I selected 'NewBlue Titler Pro 7' and then selected one of the Titler effects and entered a title. After clicking the 'green' check-mark I was returned to my Video Pro X timeline photo with the title in-tact; however, there is a 'Not Activated' Bue rectangle on the image. I went to Help\Activate Content Pack(s) and entered the NewBlue TotalFX MAGIX Edition Serial Number and it caused a prompt: "Entered coupon code is invalid".

This is confusing; when I installed Video Pro X, I successfully activated the NewBlue TotalFX MAGIX Edition effects. And as outlined in the above paragraph, I successfully entered a Title. Why the Blue Rectangle stating 'Not Activated'? Then, when attempting to activate the effect package (again, as instructed), shows 'Invalid'!

Although I did get a Title entered, how can I eliminate the Blue Rectangle 'Not Activated'?

The Titler Pro FX problem cannot be resolved by uninstall/reinstall or deactivate/activate the NB software. As I used other NB FX, I found that their 'watermark' is placed on any effect used from NB FX. I submitted a support entry at the NewBlue website and I will mention their response here. The Titler Pro FX is a hard crash of Video Pro X and I sent the crash report.

Hello John,

The NewBlue install sent to me by NewBlue support does not eliminate the NB FX Watermark on Effects.

Unfortunately, the instructions sent along with the new install executable have disabled all other NB Effects.

I have re-installed all NB Effects acquired with my purchase of MAGIX Video Pro X14 and also those acquired after purchase, from NB.

This step has restored previous (original install) operation and the NB FX watermark appears on effects in NewBlue ‘Elements’ and NewBlue ‘Essentials’ only. The remaining NB Effects produce with no watermark.

Continuing problems with NB Titler Pro 7 FX are the same as at original install; this NB Effect can be invoked in the Video Pro X14 GUI and will produce a Title; however, when the green check-mark is clicked the Titler Pro 7 FX exits and this locks-up (hard-crash) Video Pro X14 which must be ended using Task Manager.

Note that the installed standalone NB Titler Pro 7 FX launches from Windows Start and operates without error and produces a title which can be imported into MAGIX Video Pro X14.

Note also that the NewBlueFX App Manager, under PRODUCTS, shows Titler Pro 7 as ‘Not Activated’ and shows the ‘Enter Serial Number’ prompt and the ‘BUY’ button. This App Manager shows all my other New Blue packages as ‘CURRENT’ and active: ‘Stylizers 5 Ultimate’, ‘Filters 5 Ultimate’, ‘Essentials 5 Ultimate MAGIX Edition’, ‘TotalFX MAGIX Edition’ all show as ‘CURRENT’ in the NewBlueFX App Manager.

Summary of failures:

NB Titler Pro 7 cannot be activated in NewBlueFX App Manager.

NB Titler Pro 7 launches from MAGIX Video Pro X14, but on completion (green checkmark) locks-up VPX.

NB Elements effects produce the NB watermark in Video Pro X14 image.

NB Essentials effects produce the NB watermark in Video Pro X14 image.

I am somewhat confused by this statement.

The NewBlue Total Effects package (which is what I assume you are referring to) is their complete effects package which may already include any packages you may have recently bought. (assuming that is what you mean by

If so you, have two copies of the same products each requiring different activation codes. I'm fairly certain that is unnecessary and would cause some sort of registry entry problem.

That's not going to work if I'm correct. If I'm not correct please explain what exactly you have downloaded.

The other problem is programs do not freeze. Computer components do when stressed by trying to ask the computer to do more than the system specs allow by running too many applications at once.

Your system specs would allow the base program of VPX 14 to run at full HD or run NewBlue Titler Pro 7, just, but probably not both at once without serious pauses as the processes are calculated by both your 4 core CPU and nvidia card which would exceed both the ram and vram demands forcing a further slowdown as what should be in ram is shifted to storage. (SSD or other). Unfortunately while the specs on the websites don't lie they do state the minimum specs to get any sort of performance (for basic usage) and do add the proviso that any additional processing may require a more highly rated system. Such as when using third party effects.

Your system with 16 GB RAM & i7 10510U @ 1.8GHhz Processor and NIVIDIA GeForce MX250 & Intel UHD Graphics has four less CPU cores and 2GBs less vram and less ram than my system and my system struggles with that combination of use. Painstakingly slow, but so are much higher end systems as well. Using NBTP7 will slow down both playback of the timeline and export speeds.

I suggest opening your task manager and see what may be slowing down or 'freezing' your machine. If you see continuous CPU, GPU, or disc usage even when not trying to play a video on the timeline then the machine is busy calculating all the graphics changes adding the titling is producing. Nothing will work while those processes are operating. The video underneath is real time and unedited.

A couple years ago I purchased one of the MAGIX video editors and I have enjoyed using it and I have also been enjoying several upgrades.

A week ago I upgraded to the MAGIX Video Pro X14 video editor and it operates equally well on my HP laptop.

The only software which I installed is the upgrade exe from MAGIX and the ‘activations’ within the MAGIX Video Pro X14 GUI.

As I exercised the NewBlue effects which were supplied by MAGIX, I noticed a red-diagonal and the letters ‘FX’ on my video image. NewBlue support indicates this is a ‘watermark’.

The watermark appears on all NewBlue Elements and NewBlue Essentials effects.

I am VERY pleased with ALL MAGIX products that I have purchased, and I am VERY pleased with ALL MAGIX forum/support response.

If you, or a MAGIX support employee will address this watermark issue in the Elements and Essentials effects, I am a happy-camper.

Everything that I use from MAGIX works VERY well, except; unfortunately, the Video Pro X14 upgrade does not work well because those effects now contain the watermarks which mar an otherwise perfect export.

Apparently, you may have confused my comment about the ‘test’ install from NewBlue support which was sent to me by NewBlue support to correct the watermark problem, but it failed to do so; therefore, I reinstalled the software in the MAGIX Video Pro X14 purchase, to avoid confusion.

Hi Larry.

Thank you for the clarifications. I thought you may have previously purchased some of the effect that come as a part of the NewBlue package.

The people here are just users including the mods unfortunately and there has been this problem before I think. One or two people did manage to resolve their problems using a different uploader for the Total Effects package but I can't remember exactly where that topic is.

Each of those individual packs within the NewBlue package have their own activation codes displayed in the program as I showed in my earlier image above and must be activated via the little square button to the right hand side of the activation code.

One thought.

If you had any NewBlue effects in MEP 2021 before purchasing VPX 14 they may still be residing in the shared folders. That may be a source of conflict. If you haven't already, I would try going to the Windows Settings / Apps and uninstall all NewBlue packages, then look to see if any folders remain, deal with them and try again from within VPX.

Can anyone tell me how to determine which NewBlue Effects are installed by this NewBlueTotalFXMAGIXEdition executable?

This sounds like you may have a known issue with the NB Application Manager and older version of NB Fx, ie the 'old' version is still active.

Not easily, make a note of all the NB effects you have currently installed, then uninstall all NB effects.

I would suggest using Revo Uninstaller free as this will also clean up remnants left by the uninstaller(s) including the registry. Cleaning up the NB registry entries is essential

Reboot the computer

Install the NewBlueTotalFXMAGIXEdition that came with VPX14 and acitvate - compare what is now installed.

All being well all the Fx should be present and activated.

I followed your instructions, now 100% of the NewBlue effects produce watermark; whereas, previously only 50% produced watermark.

FYI, I deactivated NewBlueFX and then logged-in again to re-activate, resulting in the same watermarks.

I deactivated all in NewBlueFX App Manager; then I restarted Windows 11; then clicked each INSTALL on NewBlueFX App Manager; then installed each; then I restarted Windows 11; then I activated all in NewBlueFX App Manager. Now, ALL NewBlue Effects are working correctly and DO NOT display watermark!!

Thanks to each of you again! I will use standalone Titler Pro 7 until the MAGIX integrated Titler Pro 7 is operational.

I've been using the vpx14 program with good success. The Travel Maps produced a travel map similar to the version which came with 2021 mep-premium. The vpx14 help file did explain all the travel-map features, but I produced a wmv file using trial-and-error, to get the results desired. While I remember the effect of those timing-specifiers, I may create a personal help file to reference how each of those time-settings affect the play.

I used the vpx14 Vegas-Stabilization successfully on a couple video snippets. There were three snippets that did not appear to apply stabilization. On those I could activate the effect and then click analyze data, but no progress meter popped up and no effect was applied; however, there was a place-holder in the image effects-list. I did try several of the analysis options. I guess the effect does not apply per unknown criteria, like size, or jitter levels. Is the vpx14 Vegas-image-stabilization actually the proDAD Mercalli(v6)? Perhaps that is what is bundled with Vegas Pro and is also included in vpx14.

The vpx14 upgrade is a good value for me already, and in the coming months. I do appreciate the help available here on this forum. -Larry

The Vegas stabilisation is, AFAIK, the same as the one in Vegas range of video editors.

I have Mercalli v5 which I find is better than the Vegas stabiliser which I find to be very aggressive when zooming the image - see the comparison in this topic here on dealing with 'stubborn' shaky clips using different methods.

The costless option I linked to in that topic - direct link - is ingenious and can work well.
