We run this software in schools for students. It is popping up on their screen asking them to upgrade to the newest version for $X. We do not want the students to see this. How can we turn this upgrade alert off? Thank you.
For several dialogs/hints/alerts there are little checkmarks integrated which can be checked to turn this kind of alerts off. Most of the time they have a text next to the checkmark which says "do not remember" or "do not show this message again".
Just check the checkmarks and close the music maker to save the changed settings.

I got rid of this by selecting "Hide News" from the General Options screen (left hand side towards the bottom) in the program interface section.

Magix programs install an additional piece of software called Update Notifier - previously call Magix Connect, Connect and Network Sync.
This software is for WiFi transfer of files from suitable devices using Camera MX, and also handles the pop ups you are seeing. If the this feature is not necessary uninstall it. If the feature is used then there is the option to turn off the popups under the Info channels option
Also in the program settings check the Hide news option.
