Hi

Assuming you are using Magix Movie Studio 18 or later, and not Vegas Movie Studio 17 or earlier.

. . . . Bluray Compliant m2ts files . . . .

Are the video files MPEG-2 encoded?

While BD compliant, they are not compatible with Movie Studio BD burn presets which encode to AVC/h.264 and is the most common format for BD encoding.

Smart copy when using the same BD encoding preset as the one they were created with does work for AVC/h.264 encoded video - I do this with very large multi movie projects.

There may be a way to be able to use the M2TS files, though it is a bit of a long shot, however more information is needed:

  1. Which program was used to create the M2TS files?

  2. The encoding format details - download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the M2TS files and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.

If the files are AVC/h.264 encoded then use MediaInfo to analyze one of the files and post all the data from the analysis, and if they were created in Movie Studio 18, or later, which export preset did you use?
