When I try to play or record I receive the following message, "An error occurred while starting playback. The request is not enabled for this device"

How do I get back to using this application?

Go to options/preferences and Audio Device. Most likely your audio device is incorrect. If you are using an interface (external), you will need to choose that as your audio device. Should work after that.
