Unable to install Magix Music maker on windows 10

MustacheBud wrote on 8/15/2017, 3:04 PM

Hello I got Magix music maker from the Humble Software Bundle and i am unable to install the program on my pc.

Whenever i press the exe a window pops up with a green bar saying extracting. then for a brief second a bluish black window with a spinning laoding wheel pops up and then disappears. After that nothing happens, and i'm pretty certain that the installation has completely stopped sinci i see nothing in my taskbar or taskmanager...

I'm running a windows 10 computer.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm getting the same problem. For a bit more detail, two processes appear in task manager for about 40 seconds after launching the installation manager, being "Music Maker" and "MxInstallationManager." These disappear afterwords.

Well I'm not having quite the same issue, but the installer just wont download my version, I have music maker plus I've tried it on two computers and got the same thing. Then i tried adding permission in the firewall, didn't work, disable windows defender, didn't work. I'm using windows 10 pro 64-bit, both same

Fwiw, I'm using Windows 10 pro, 64bit - downloads are a bit slow from all the humble bundle folks but they are running for me. I'm going to be able to post up all the non-webdownloaders for everything in the humble bundle, but it only comes with music maker free version.

I've tried the humble bundle 80s edition and it does the same as the plus version. I'll assume there all like that.

and I've just tried yep they are... the plus version tries to download but pauses. I've checked my internet connection nothing else seems to have problems. at least vegas pro 14 is downloading, slow, but downloading. at least I know it isn't me, thank goodness.

I appreciate it, I'll try Music Maker pro later and hopefully I can get it to download. Guess just a bad time.

It seems web designer & Photo Designer/Photo manager seem to be different files for ex mine is en-US while yours is en-II and yours is 12-35 with mine being 12-38,I have no idea what the difference is. The vegas pro download is the same though.

funny...so much so it hit mah funny bone! so I seen on another thread about the soundpools for commercial use, and it is per soundpool not by each loop in the pack. I have a few other music audio programs, and still learning with music production. So really just experimenting for me right now.

@AnthonyPython

Please be aware that the download from FileArchiveHeaven is not an official source of the Music Maker installer.

Using disassembled software installers from unofficial download sites is a dangerous practice. You cannot verify that the source is genuine and will not install 'unwanted' extras on your computer.

The posting of links to unofficial sources is against the Community rules (# 5) and, in addition, is the licensing conditions for the software.

@johnebaker

vegas pro, MD5 should be the following: 9deea4661d5d0588d9b57c91fd5d7862 ,as far as I can tell it says there exactly the same, anyways mine finally downloaded so there was no need to use the above, must be cause of the like almost 30,000 people.

Besides this, I'd like to ask are the music maker server store having a lot of trouble with all the massive traffic, I know your just a Mod, just thought I could ask at least someone this.
