Unable to capture Sound Forge Pro audio in OBS

Hello, I cannot figure out how to capture my audio output from Sound Forge Pro (13 or 17) while recording in OBS. I can record into SF while recording with OBS, but OBS does not capture the SF output when I play back. I am able to capture application audio from other apps and websites. I have tried both Desktop Sound and Application Sound as sources in OBS. I am on a Windows 10 machine and I'm using a Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. Upgrading to 2i2 4th gen is definitely an option.

Does anyone know how to do this? I have seen some solutions online that involve plugins, but they seem to be aimed at multitrack DAWs. There also appears to be a solution utilizing a loopback feature in the Scarlett that does not require a 3rd party plugin or software, but unclear how this works.

@SpeedwayJoe Is loopback audio enabled in the Focusrite driver?

There's no loopback available for 2i2 3rd gens, however it appears to be available with 4th gens. I'll go ahead and upgrade and see how it goes. I will post an update when available. Thanks...JM
