Power cut in middle of upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Scraps of previously successful install of Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 remain . De-installer looking for installer elements no longer present on PC so cannot achieve de-install of corrupted version. Want to achieve a clean install of Sound forge Audio Studio 14 & Isotope Elements 9 having reverted back to Window 10.

You could reinstall Sound Forge, then uninstall it with a third-party uninstaller that cleans leftover data. Revo Uninstall is favored by most including Magix support. Revo Uninstall is available in pro and freeware versions. The free version is adequate in most cases, the Pro version has forced uninstall and other advanced tools.
Otherwise, you could manually look for and delete pertinent data in the Program files folder and '(User) Appdata> Roaming and Local. Then run a registry cleaner. CCleaner is another highly regarded cleaning application that will clear out old temp files and other useless data. It also has a registry cleaner among other 'cleaning' tools.

@Mars_Lee_46

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, and sorry to hear about the power cut problem. What a nightmare!

To fully complete the uninstall of any app that fails to uninstall properly you have two possible options. Perhaps try the Microsoft utility first:

  1. This page is where you can find the dedicated M$ Utility for this. Do carefully follow the instructions!
  2. If that fails, you might wish to find, download and install Revo Uninstaller. There is a Free and a (paid for) Pro version - I run the Pro version and find it extremely useful for both the installation and uninstallation of any program. Once installed and opened point it at SFAS 14 and let it carry out its "default" process. Then allow it to Deep Scan for anything "left over"; it will list what it thinks should be removed, just make sure to check carefully everything on the list, especially if you have any other Magix program installed.

Once the uninstall is completed, reboot your computer and try again to install SFAS 14. Good luck!
