Tuncated video after import

Hi all... i'm trying to import videos from a Pentax Optio W90 (1280x720x30fps). The trouble is that if i enable "extract audio from video" then only half audio track is extracted and only half video is visible (the first half). If i disable audio extraction no audio is available but the entire clip is imported. I installed latest QuickTime and i'm able to seethe clips with both VLC and MediaPlayer. Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 7 import everything correctly. I'm using Video Deluxe 16 Plus.

What can i do? I'm driving crazy!

Thank you!

Hi there,

simple first step - make sure that you have the latest patch installed. Open the program and update under Help, online update you'll find there.  Get that.  The fact that you have several other programs essentially doing similar things can be a nice recipe for conflicts in your system.

If it gets more involved, get onto the MAGIX technical support site, explain the problem and attach a sample file for them of the problem file. That's what they're there for.

Cheers

I discovered that the Pentax generates a somewhat corrupted AVI envelope. By rewriting it with VirtualDub and direct stream copy for both audio and video tracks, everything works flawlessly!
