Do you mean the the recent files list under the file menu is empty? The installation program will not delete your music files, but you would have to locate them on your hard disk again. You try file search in explorer for file:*.acd

I just updated Acid Music Studio and it seems to have wiped out all of my music files created during the previous version. Is all my work truly gone? Or is there some way to find out where the files are located?
