Travel maps issues 5.0.0.501 Latest updates installed

I have Photostory Deluxe 2024 (23.0.1.193 UDP3) on my Windows 11 HP laptop. I've created and used Travel Maps successfully many times but this time I'm having no luck at all. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong in the settings but I really can't work out what. After completing the map, when I click on the Export button the green bar gets just about to the end and then it stops, never completing the upload. Despite that, the MP4 video shows up in my ACDSee photo program but the video is completely unsatisfactory with the path between destinations just showing a very fragmented/black topographical or satellite map. The aeroplane avatar is present all the way. I'm starting at Sydney International Airport with a layover at Dubai International Airport and ending at Milan Malpensa International Airport, and I'm trying to make the map last for about 20 seconds from beginning to end. Any suggestions would be most gratefully received.

Hi,

Very interesting! I've never tried to do something like that with Travel Maps.

From what I see, the internet/map service provider is not able to serve up the map tiles fast enough for the program. Try increasing the duration of the route to 2 minutes or longer to see if you get a better result. Also, I suggest that you set stop times of 2 seconds at the beginning, stopover point and end point.

You should be able to speed ramp the video in the video editor. Strangely, I can't put keyframes on Speed in PhotoStory 2025, so only the overall duration can be changed. It seems that this is one of the limitations of Photostory. No problem keyframing Speed with Movie Studio.

I don't know about ACDSee.

Thanks so much for the suggestion John ... I'll try doing as you suggest and see what happens.
