Unfortunately a standard Windows uninstall will not completely uninstall the program so the next install will remember the last set of settings that were used.
First you should have tried this.
Your nvidia driver is also several updates behind but as the nvidia card is a mobile version for a laptop it may be better to go to the laptop vendors website to see if the latest nvidia driver will work in your system. You have an nvidia 1070m (m) for mobile which is slightly different from the 1070 and has to run through the Inboard Intel chip.
If you set all the program settings to use CPU to see if the monitor window comes back as it should then it is at least partially a driver update that is required. If all of hat doesn't help, then something else is amiss.
There is nothing in your system specs that suggests you should be having these problems.

I did try to reset to the defaults 3 times prior to the uninstall. It did nothing. The Nvidia driver should have nothing to do with the issue because the application worked fine last week.
I went ahead and tried having it go through the CPU, but that did nothing to fix the problem.
I notice you have a lot of programs running in your bottom task bar at the same time. You may have simply run out of physical memory to allow the program to fully load. Chrome itself can eat up GBs of memory.

I only have File Manager, Adobe and Chrome open for this forum. This computer can handle more that Chrome being open.
Okay, I finally got it to work. I had to uninstall BOTH the Movie Studio 2022 Platinum AND Movie Studio Platinum (VD) Templates, reboot, and then reinstall both again. I wonder how many times I'm going to have to do this to keep the application working right.
