The software freezes when loading, it often gets stuck when it says initializing media pool

The program gets stuck when i try to start it. I am running windows 8. It had been working in the past but it had some start up issues. IT always gets stuck when it says initializing media pool.

It helps if we know which version of Music maker you are referring to!

Using Windows Explorer search for MusicMaker.ini - include hidden and system folders in the search.

You should several versions of the file - delete the one that is largest in file size.

Start Music Maker

Note: this will reset MMM to its default settings

Do you mean Music Maker 15 released in 2008 or Music Maker 2015?

If you are referring to version 15 then this is not compatible with Windows 8.

If you mean Music Maker 2015 please refer to it as this to avoid confusion, the instructions I gave below still apply
