The program is writing "cda" files to the music CD

I am writing LP to CD with MAGIX Audio Cleaning Lab MX.
My problem is that the program is writing "cda" files instead of "waw" files to the music CD.
The CD/DVD player cannot read the "cda" files so the written CD-s are useless.
What is wrong? What should I do?
Thank you for your kind help.

Hi

cda files are part of a music CD - they tell the player where the files are located on the CD. These are normally the only files you see when you browse a cd with Windows Explorer - the wav files are hidden.

Assuming you have all the tracks correct in ACL and used the Export Audio CD option to create the cd, then I would suspect that the CD itself is faulty / corrupt.

Does the disc play in a CD player?

Have you tried a different make/batch of CD ?

John
