When I put a new clip to my project it always cuts the ending of. I suppose it only allows certain length, so how do I change it so that I can have the whole clip in my project?
MEP will take clips of any length - the problem you are having is not a restriction in MEP - it is more likely a codec issue.
We need to know the video format you are using and the source ie camera, recording etc.
If they are avi or mov files then you will have to use GSpot or MediaInfo to analyse the videos to find out which codecs are used inside the file formats.
Come back with these details and then we may be able to help you.
The videos are avi files, and they are recorded from video camera (no problem using them in other editing programs). I analyzed them with GSpot and it said the following:
"File Length Correct
Compatibility Note: DV Type 1 AVI
OpenDML (AVI v2.0)
DV Audio/Video: 805 MB (99.71%)
AVI Overhead: 2.32 MB (0.29%)"
Video's codec appears to be dvsd and DVC/DV video, and it also said that the codec(s) are installed.
If I click the render button for video, it says "Failed to connect Output pin ... Error: 0x80040207: [unknown]"
The camera they are recorded with is Panasonic NV-GS17, and I think I haven't installed software that came with it... I've had it for so long I don't even remember anymore did it have some software with it and the videos have been tranferred to computer long time ago. If I remember correctly I haven't installed codec packs, and I'm using Movie Edit Pro MX Plus and I have the newest version of it. I have Windows 7.
