Hi,

Can you hear anything that you put on the Arranger? Have you set up audio playback under Program settings correctly?

I just tried doing a text to speech and I could hear the test and the resulting wave file.

The arranger works fine. The text to speech generates the wav file into the arranger fine. Actually I am very impressed with the quality of the clip. The problem is that I can't hear the preview when I hit the test button on the tts pop-up menu. I can render the text to audio and hear it but I can't hear it before I generate the sound file. I can't check pronunciation issues or flow or anything which is rough. I have tried several different voices and it is the same for all of them. Please help me.

It seems that the audio out for the test may not be going to the same output port as the setup for MM. In my case, I have an external audio card connected and setup for MM. Playback goes to my external audio card and to my earphones attached to it. However, the test for the audio file prior to making the wave file went to my default computer audio card output. So you may have to play around a bit to find out where the sound is going to.

If you still have trouble, I will try on my laptop tonight.

You were, of course, correct. I went into the program's settings and then to the audio/midi tab and changed the speakers settings. With one setting the preview worked but then stopped working after I played the arrangement. Another setting and the preview played but the arrangement wouldn't. Now both are working. Thank you so much.
