@MIKE-DION Try restarting your computer. If this doesn't help try resetting the program settings under the File > Settings menu.

MIKE-DION wrote on 9/23/2022, 3:44 PM

Tried...didn't work. So should I delete program and re-load?

@MIKE-DION No, first check the audio driver settings in Music Maker's program settings. What driver is selected? Usually, it should be an ASIO driver. And it can be configured by clicking on the Advanced button.

MIKE-DION wrote on 9/23/2022, 9:15 PM

It's already set as the ASIO driver. ???

@MIKE-DION And did you configure the driver?

MIKE-DION wrote on 9/24/2022, 8:28 AM

??? as noted it was already set to ASIO. Why and what is the issue? Why all of a sudden does it not work. Pretty simple question when it was updated, running ok as I had recorded three new tracks and then all of a sudden it doe not work when I didn't change anything...

@MIKE-DION If you reset the program settings, you need to configure everything again. You can do this with the Advanced button.

@MIKE-DION

Please remember these are user to user forums and we cannot see your computer. Any advice/assistance we can give is based on our own individual knowledge of the software.

Please show us a screenshot of the ASIO drivers configuration screen: Program Settings / Audio/MIDI tab / Advanced. It might also be helpful if you posted a screenshot of the whole of that Audio/MIDI tab.

Unfortunately, the fact that you didn't change anything does not mean that e.g., Windows has behaved in the same way.

One other question: can you confirm exactly which version and build you now have (you can check under Help>About Music Maker)? Mention of an update makes me wonder whether you now have (accidentally) MM 2023, version 31. MM 2022 is version 30.

Ok, now I think it's funny. I just tried my tracks and I can hear them and see them etc. Is it a glitch in the system, I don't know. I've been using my HP Ryzen for my DAW with no issues till the last two days. But now it works again and I did nothing to update it again. I am attaching my screen shots though just for the record. Thank you.

Same thing happened to me, after update the program locks up and won't allow it to open far enough to get to the settings or log-on. when I forced it shut, the program opened my browser to a Magix page offering to sell me the new version all over again.

None of the solutions mentioned above do anything to alleviate the issue.

Hi

I'm a bit lost. Your subject says "Stopped Working." My immediate assumption was that the program stopped working. Not so. In the future, please use a subject representative of your problem.

 I had recorded three new tracks and then all of a sudden it doe not work

What is "it?" The program?

What did you record - audio or MIDI using a VST instrument? They are quite different.

Please use a higher resolution for your screen shots, they are blurry when I increase the size to try to read them.

On my laptop, the "Music Maker ASIO" driver with my Bose headphones does not work - I get no sound. I use Asio4All and I can hear the playback. The "Music Maker ASIO" driver works with my laptop speakers, just not the Bose headphones. You can change the destination under Advanced on the Drivers part of the Program Settings.

Which audio driver(s) works for you? Try them all. If you don't have Asio4All, I suggest that you get it (Google it).

You say you updated the program to 2022. What is the version number? The current version is 31.0.1.13 which is for MMM2023. The Upgrade is free. See the link at the bottom of this message.

According to your last message, the program works and so does playback of your recordings. It would still be good to have more information in case something goes wrong again.

@mdelec2

Hi,

Your problem is completely different; the program works for the OP. Please start a new thread and give all information that would help people help you.

I have installed MMM2023 on two vastly different computers and I don't have your problem, so you may want to consider that there is a problem on your side.

Thanks, but as noted above the program now works again without any glitch. I can't explain what happened. I am up to date on any updates, so I will just say that it was something in the air I guess and keep going till something else occurs. Thanks again.

Anyone else having problems with system crashing? I recorded a new track and now the system says it's not available? Since updating the system has been doing lots of strange things...

Hi,

Glad to see that most problems have been resolved.

As I asked before, what did you record - Audio or MIDI using a VST instrument? They are quite different.

You can't get things to play back? Ever since I updated to the latest Magix Music Maker Professional, not only did it forget my directories, now it's extremely unstable. I can't click on any of the command buttons lest the program freezes and i have to exit out via task manager. I'm going to try reinstalling it and see if that helps. The Latest version is bugged.
