Soundpools download but contain nothing after download and install

kevin-r wrote on 8/2/2020, 8:49 PM

I have bought a few soundpools now and all of them have downloaded and installed properly, it usually shows the folder icon float from the downloads tab to the soundpool tab. Recently i bought a few soundpools, it downloads, does the same, floats the icon to soundpool tab, and when i scroll down, it just shows 100% next to the soundpool, but when i click on it, there is nothing in the soundpool pack. I have reinstalled the soundpools so many times, downloaded again so many times and still nothing. I cant use any of them. Anyone else ever had this happen and what can i do to resolve this issue? I bought it directly from within Magix Music Maker and not on any external sites.

Hi,

Reading your message, I get lost. Why are you clicking on the Soundpool in the Downloads tab again to try to load it? This is what you imply.

Use the Loops tab to access Soundpools.

Do you mean that the Soundpools do not show up under the Loops tab?

Is there anything in the actual soundpools folder on the PC? C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Shop

If it's there you could try rescan soundpools from the options screen or add it manually with the "Add new soundpools" from the options wheel in the Loops tab.

I go to the store, i buy a soundpool and then need to go to the downloads tab to select and download the soundpool, after that it automatically would be downloaded and you can access it in the soundpools tab. Well when i go to the soundpools tab, scroll to the downloaded soundpool, it just shows 100% next to it, but when i click on it, it says no sounds in selected soundpool.

I just checked the folder and its not there, probably meaning it doesn't download properly?

Go to Program Settings, Cleanup Store. MMM will restart. Log in. Check the Loops for the Soundpool. If the loops are not there, look in Downloads. If it's still there, download/install it again. Check Loops to see if all is there.

Let us know the result.

Hi

You have not stated which variant - Free, Plus or Premium - and the version number of the program you are using.

Is this is Music Maker 2021 29.x.x.x then you may be affected by item 2 in the bug list here.

These are being worked on by Magix, expect a patch in the near future.

How does the Steam edition work? I ask this question because I have a steam version of Mixcraft and also a demo of a later version. It's clear where the later version is installed but it's still a mystery to me where Steam installs its version. Does the Steam edition of Music Maker use standard folder locations?
