For the soundpools, take a look through this message.

1. Soundpool locations:

Make sure that your Soundpools are all under the same main folder:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

The soundpools always have to be available.

You should also have the Soundpools location set properly in the Program settings (P) as shown below:

Check both of these are done, click on +Add to update the soundpools, close and reopen the program to see if this helps.

2. Where did you buy MMM - directly from Magix on line or the boxed version? Did you Activate and Register the program with Magix. If you bought from Magix on line and activated and registered the project, you should have the buttons to get the instruments etc.

There is no "Free addons" button. Go to Help, Update program/Update functions, Download free synthesizer and sound packages. If you only purchased the basic version and not Premium, I am assuming that there is still stuff to download, but maybe not. If you purchased the boxed version, everything may already be included.

Make sure that you update the program to the latest patch. Go to Help, Update program/Update functions, Update online.

3. Points - you get points everytime that you post a question or an answer or add a tutorial. They are only an indication of your use of the forum, so if you see that someone has a lot of points, they are probably using the forum a lot and may also have helped answer questions. You can always check their profile and see what they have been doing in the forum.
