Every time I appy the 16.1.047 software update to Soundforge 16, it does not install correctly, resulting in me having to re-install the entire program - which still asks me to update to this software!
Hi @M-Levy. as I recall, when I updated to AS 16.1, bld 47 (from 16.0) the updater did not work either. Reinstalling the program worked though after downloading AS-16.1 from the Magix service center. and I have not experienced further update notices.
Try "Reset and clear cached data" (in the File menu). If the update notice condition still exists after the reset, uninstall using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the default uninstall leaves behind, which is usually the cause of issues that reoccur when an app is reinstalled. Revo Uninstall is highly regarded and has pro and freeware versions The free version is adequate in most cases. Use the advanced scan mode but be careful not delete shared data if another version of Magix Sound Forge is installed. The other items in the installation manager do not need to be reinstalled.
