I recently bought music maker 16. I removed my previous music maker 15 then installed music maker 16. I then got into the program and went to start making a song but it tells me the sound pools have been moved or deleted. I look at the folder it says its looking and it says music maker 15 why is 16 looking in 15 folder for music when i removed it?

Hi,

When we uninstall older version some times some files remain un deleted, even Registry. Therefore, when we install new version some times it interfere with older files.

Firs you should do this.

Open Program folder locate your Magix folder look inside if you find any MMM 15 folder just right click and delete that. If you do remember where your MMM 15 soundpools folder that could be Basic_15 locate that and delete it.

If you are not aware of computer registry do not touch if you got any friend who is familiar with computer ask their help only if needed. Otherwise you should check this pdf tutorial that will surely help you.

Luckily, once you get any other issues straightened out, you should be able to reload at least some of the soundpools from your MM-15 DVD.  This will give you much more material to choose from.

You can insert the MM-15 DVD into the computer.  When the opening screen opens up, choose the "Browse this DVD" option.  It will open a window where you will see the Basic_15 folder.  Simply same this folder to your hard drive to a place you will remember.

Then you'll be able to add these soundpools using the "Add styles" link in MMM.
