Does this issue still occur in the MAGIX version of Sound Forge?
This is how to fix it in the previous Sony versions of the software. If it still occurs then you could adapt this procedure to the equivalent MAGIX registry entries:

In case that page disappears, these were the steps:
"In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following directory:
HKEY_USERS > [user SID]_Classes > VirtualStore > MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sony Creative Software > Sound Forge [Pro or Audio Studio] > [Version Number]
NOTE: The [user SID] listed above is a variable that will be different for each account on a computer. It will most often begin with S-1-5-21-.
Right click on the version number folder ONLY and select Delete. If prompted, confirm you wish to delete the folder."
