Hi @roderick-horn. do you get the same error when SF is run as an administrator:
Right-click the Sound Forge 11 <.exe> launcher (or shortcut), choose Properties> select the 'Compatibility' tab, Under 'Privilege level', check-mark "Run this program as an Administrator"

Yes

@roderick-horn I found another comment. There the crash was fixed by setting Sound Forge to 8 bit and 256 colors. Make a right click on the shortcut icon > Properties > Compatibility.

Additionally it might also help to reset the program settings under the File menu.

Yes, a reset/clear cache may resolve the issue as well. Be aware though, the reset procedure will revert most of your custom settings back to the factory defaults.
A minor caveat.. Sound Forge 11 (and earlier versions) do not have the "Reset all preference and cache data" menu command. It it can be done just the same by holding down the 'Ctrl+Shift' key whilst launching Sound Forge. This also works on Magix versions and will open the reset dialog in all versions if the application will not launch at all.

Thank you, changing the resolution settings worked.
