Sound Forge 13 Installation File does not download

donfucho wrote on 8/25/2020, 7:43 PM

Hello, people! I'm having issues when I run the installation file for Sound Forge 13. I bought the license from Humble Bundle and I downloaded the installation file they provided and tried to install using it. It doesn't downloaded the program installation file, got froze on 0%. I wanted to know if there is any direct download link for this product, since I already had the very same issue with Vegas and I sort of came around with the direct download link.

Thank you!

At least one other poster recently had a problem with Humble Bumble similar to yours. I'd suggest you do a forum search.

Try another browser. I have experienced issues with FireFox and PaleMoon where Chrome or Edge worked OK. Though those instances were unrelated to Magix or Humble Bumble.

I do not know how Humble Bumble works, but if they give you a valid Magix SF-13 serial number you should be able to download the install file at the Magix Download Center.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge forum @donfucho.

Hello, thanks for the welcome. The issue is within the installation file. It does not progress beyond the 0%, I'm sharing a link with the print screen

I tried to run the installation file as an administrator, I tried to turn off the firewall and nothing has worked yet, even using the installation file provided by MAGIX after I registered the product key.

Maybe there are server problems because a lot of people are trying to download the bundle.

I created this post to check if there were any instance similar to the one located on Vegas' community forums where there are located the direct download links. I bought the licenses one week ago but after several tries using the installer I haven't installed the software up to this point. If this is a recurring issue when any Magix products are placed on Humble Bundle, why don't do anything to avoid this kind of issues?

A little story:

I attempted to purchase a Steinberg audio editing program from Sweetwater Sound a couple of weeks ago. After 3 days of screwing around, the licensing information I received was completely wrong, and I had to request a refund. I was furious. I guess SS's IT guys just didn't know what they were doing. This was from a major audio retailer, too, not some obscure charity outfit.

A few days later, after I got my refund from SS, I purchased the program directly from Steinberg, downloaded it, got the licensing info within a minute, and I've been using the program ever since. Frankly, I just wouldn't purchase ANY software from an outfit called 'Humble Bundle', even if the software had Magix's name on it, and was ridiculously cheap. God knows what kind of mistakes might have been made behind the scenes by the dubious retailer.

I'm not posting this to be mean or unsympathetic; I'm just posting.

And how this message is supposed to help me in my issue? I never mentioned any issue with the license key or something, I already registered the license on MAGIX without problem, downloaded the installer file and ran it, but without any positive result. I've checking messages related to Humble Bundle purchases and in all of them you comment something derogatory about it. If you can't provide any new solution, it would be better for us, the people searching for answers and/or solutions if we can get real answers, not snubbish messages. Thank you.

When I mentioned VEGAS direct links compilations, I was talking about this:
