Sound Forge 12 Audio Studio offline use / activation

I just bought Sound Forge 12 Audio Studio for my offline studio computer and I need instructions on how to install and activate the software on it. I can connect the comp for the initial activation, if it is necessary, but other than that, it will be offline.

Thanks!

Connect your PC to the internet temporarily prior to installing opening the app and follow the prompts. You should also encode an MP3, MP4, ect., whilst on-line as some of the encoders need to be registered that way. Assuming AS is like SF Pro and Vegas Pro, once the program and the encoders are authorized the PC does not have to be on-line. The same should be true for the Magix plug-ins.. if applicable. Third-party plug-ins however may be a different story

The program may or may not phone home once a month or so to validate the license. You probably should contact MAGIX Support to see what the policy is.

Support (FAQ) says this:
"Please note that the program requires an Internet connection at least once a month to validate the license. This validation runs in the background when you are connected to the Internet.

If the license cannot be validated because a connection to the license server cannot be established, the program will notify you. You can then continue to use the software without an Internet connection for a few more days. Of course, it is still possible to use the software offline."

From what I understood, this is for all products using the "P3" -serial number.
