This is the third time I've uninstalled an d installed this buy and still, the sound just stopped and won't come back on. Nothing muted, everything seems top be the way its suppose to be. But no matter what. No sound in headphones or speakers. I'm just so tired of buying this stuff and having to go through this on EVERYTHIONG!!! Do these people in the tech world ever make anything that actually just works?

Hi

. . . . Do these people in the tech world ever make anything that actually just works? . . . .

Assuming you mean playback of audio from within the program, the issue you are having is likely to be due to the audio settings in the program or the device you are using for audio playback.

If you mean playback of audio in another program while Music Maker is open then this is normal as MMM must have direct access to the audio card and locks out other programs accessing it..

However we need more information about:

  1. your computer system and in particular about the audio card chipset, see this topic for details required

  2. are you using an external device for playback of audio?

  3. what settings you have in the Audio/MIDI tab of the programs settings for Audio playback? A screen shot of the appropriate tab will be useful

Please note this is a user to user forum.

While we appreciate your frustration with the software, in order for us to help questions and comprehensive responses are required, incomplete responses will result in more questions otherwise we will be guessing what the issue and solution is.

Please note that we cannot see what settings etc, you have. Fault diagnosis depends on elimination of the most obvious causes first - in this case are your Music Maker audio settings the same as mine shown below?

If the settings are not the same as mine, change them to match then click the Advanced button indicated by the blue arrow - this will open a small popup which will tell you what the audio card/chipset is and if it is activated - this is mine and is a Realtek HDA device, yours may be different however it should be displayed and on in the dialog

Ok the settings and then try playing back some soundpool objects from the timeline.
