sony track compressor not appearing

Trying to rebuilt a SoundForge Pro 10 setup, that used a Sony Track Compressor effect to normalize sd2 audio files.

I have the sftrkfx1.dll in \Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio. Preset Manager was able to load it to the system.

But the effect is not showing in FX Favorites or Organize Favorites, and when I try to use the preset in batch converter it says

Not found: Sony Track Compressor . [23......]

I've gone to Options, Preferences, VST effects and pointed the default VST search folder to \Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Audio and refreshed, but doesn't seem to load anything new.

Wecome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @joshua-f.

The 'Track' plug-ins are of the Direct X format.
Look in the 'All ', 'Sony' or 'Direct X' folders.

Thanks. I think i have now. We had some old exported registry settings that needed to be loaded.
