Sony Movie Studio 12.0

Hoping someone can help as there doesn't seem to be a link to get support from Magix staff (despite their claim to the contrary!).
I have a registered copy of MSP 12.0 build 334 and I wanted to update it to build 1184. On the download page the only option seems to be to download the programme entirely. I guess it will over-write the old build with the latest? It doesn't say so I'm not sure. When I try to install I immediately get a warning (in German) which translates as roughly:
"invalid path to c:/Users/User/Appdata/Roaming/Magix/Installationsmanager/mxdownloadmanager.ini".
They are right, that file isn't there but I don't understand what it is for or whether it is part of the download process or came with my original CD and should be there or what.
Searching my entire computer (I have two hard drive - programmes on C and data on E) I don't have that .ini file anywhere so I'm not sure what is wrong.
Can anyone help me upgrade to build 1184 please?
(I'm Windows 7, 64-bit)
