Software unresponsive after last update

Maurizio-Gaiani wrote on 12/21/2021, 7:42 AM

I was never able to fully use this software.

my copy of music maker premium 2022 always crashed when working with third party vst

now, after last update, the software is unresponsive.
It takes ages to go into the main interface, after clicking continue on the introductory screen.

then, if I select any tabs (keyboard, loops, store....) it takes at least 5 mins to go from one screen to the other.
It was working well before, with no lags.

and if I select any option in the menu, the software totally stucks!!

anyone had same problem and was able to solve it?

thanks for any suggestion

Maurizio

@Maurizio-Gaiani What are your computers hardware specifications?

Maybe you can try to reset the program settings under the menu File > Settings.

You can also delete the Musicmaker.ini file in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\mm30 and restart the program.

30.0.4.44 seems to have freezing issues. Try previous version http://dl04.magix.net/2021/MusicMaker30/Music_Maker_30.0.3.39_INT_210927_16-17_82878DA2.exe

Thanks everyone for helping me with last update.
I temporarily solved the problem working offline... it seems that the freezing was linked to the software trying to connect with the store.

Hi,

I'm stuck on 30.0.4.44 and the program freezes on opening then crashes trying to update to v56 (ctrl/alt/del tskmgr is only way out) can I please have a direct link to the latest offline installer package? I have tried everything to make it work otherwise. :(

@John-Andrews Please ask support at infoservice@magix.net for a download link.

Thanks SP

For the record, and an easy fix which may help anyone else I managed to uninstall .44,  then install v.3.39 then update to .56 inside the program with no problems.

It seems we all have different PC configuration.

A common practice is to not update if you are satisfied with the software working in your system.

Magix is so paranoid with pirate version the log in process causes many issues.

Patch ..... 44 is very stable for me. (I do not use it for recording, limited midi).

MMM has lost my support. Who ever is involved with MusicMaker should be ashamed.

Too Many issues caused by updates.
