Rescue Your Videotapes includes a USB Convertor, a physical memory stick-like unit that is required to use the software. So, downloading of only the software will not enable this program to work.

My suggestion would be to invest in a low-cost USB External DVD Rewriter, which, when plugged into your computer, would function as a "normal" optical disc drive.
