Software Claims Not Properly Installed

After upgrading to a larger hard drive via cloning, CD Architect 5.2 asked for the serial number when opening. The program had been in use for many years. After inputting the correct serial number, a box came up claiming the software was incorrectly installed and would not accept the serial number. However, other than putting in a larger hard drive, this program had been working properly for years with the same OS. Reinstalling the software results in a trail version that must be activated again. Is there a way to fix this without going through the activation process again?

@R-Stone

Just to add a little to what @Markus73 has written; CD Architect was originally a Sony product, from the Vegas product range (I understand it is now discontinued). The forum for questions on the Vegas product range is here.
