Softsynth Acid pro 10 midi file

Daich wrote on 5/1/2020, 8:55 AM

I am only able to record the DLS soft synth not the others. And when I record DLS synth it is piano roll mode. I don't see how to disengage this function and I don't see any instructions for how to get the other synths to record a midi file. Below is a screen shot of an attempt to record a midi track of a soft synth other than DLS, and you can see the midi track is empty and both record buttons are on. Any help would be appreciated but please try a step by step approach, as I am not an expert on computer jargon. Thank you.

Does anyone use the softsynth midi? Does it only work with the piano roll? How do you turn the piano roll off?

Dear @Daich,

if you want to play your Soft Synth using a MIDI keyboard, please check the MIDI settings and activate your MIDI Device as MIDI input. Then you should be able to play the software instruments with your keyboard. Or you use the inline MIDI editing, by pressing G. Then you could edit your clip directly inside the arranger. You could also use the MIDI clip properties to draw notes in your clip. To do that just click right on your clip and select Clip Properties or open dem via view menu and select the clip you want to edit.

I hope this helps. If you have any further problems, please let me know.

Best regards,

Marco

Hey - you have probably already figured this out -- but you have to draw (with the pencil tool) an empty midi clip on the track before you try to record midi activity.

good luck!
