Here is a pdf draft of a tutorial that I intend to post once someone has reviewed and commented on it. It shows a method to use the Snowdrift font on a coloured background, but with white snow. The Snowdrift font has transparent parts for the snow that need to be changed. The method requires Xara Designer Pro or Xara Photo & Graphics Designer. A similar method can probably be used with other graphics software. See below for the original and the desired outcome.
