Slowmotion sound

I've just got my Magix Video Saver 8th edition.
When I've copied my VHS to the PC, the sound is crazy.
During the recording, the sound is as expected, but when I play the recorded file on the computer, it sounds like it is in slowmotion.

@ulflson

Welcome to the Magix forums.

This "sounds" rather like the problem of mis-matched Sample Rates. Can you download and install the free MediaInfo utility and point it at your video file on your computer. Please copy and paste to your reply the results of the Text view.

Then (and I don't know where this setting might be in your software) can you check the Audio Sample Rate that the software is running at? A screenshot of any audio settings would be helpful!

Finally, can you check the sample rate that Windows is operating at? To do this, click on the speaker icon at the bottom right corner of your desktop screen and choose "Open Sound Settings". Scroll down on that screen and choose "Related Settings>Sound Control Panel". On that screen choose your Sound Device (you may only have one) and double-click on its name. This will open its Properties screen. Choose the Advanced tab and see what is set there as the Default Format. That line will include a figure of either 44.1kHz or 48kHz. I suspect yours will be showing the former, when it needs to be the latter. If so, there is a dropdown at the end of the line showing that figure; if you click on it you will see the options offered by your sound card. Try to select the one that matches what your Video Easy software expects (the one shown when you checked that Audio Sample Rate, above).
