Slow tempo

Jacob-jelley wrote on 4/10/2019, 4:54 PM

Hi there. So I'm going to be getting a newer version of magix music studio but right now I'm still rocking the 2016 version. The problem I'm having is this. I have beats made with loops I bought. I set the tempo and everything's fine. My interface and mic is hooked up. As soon as I hit record to do my vocals the tempo of my beat slows down so much. Tempo still shows what I set it at. But the beat slows down significantly when I press record. I just can't figure it out. And I really want to do my recordings. If anyone has any advice I would be in your debt. Thank you

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

First, please read this post and give us ALL the information requested there.

The problem you are experiencing sounds very much like one caused by a mis-match of sampling rates. What sample rate is set for your project? Are you using a USB mic? If so, is its sample rate the same as that for MM?

So, more details please, and then we may well be able to offer advice to you.

This question seems to be about Music Studio rather than Music Maker.

I said music studio lol. I'm using an interface that plugs in via USB But the mic itself isn't USB. I'm new to all this. How do I change the sampling rate?

I said music studio lol.

But you posted in The Music Maker section and not the Music Studio section.

@Jacob-jelley, @Graham-Hawker

Jacob-jelley - please ensure that you post in the correct forum and use the full name of the program and version number to avoid confusion with other similar named software.

Topic has been moved to the correct forum.
