Anirban Ray,

If you mean for instance to cut a one minute clip into sixty one second pieces I'm quite sure the answer is 'no' within MEP. However there are alternatives such as 'macro recorders' which can automate any repetitive action by recording keystrokes etc. eg:

(position cursor at start of clip)

  • move forward 25 or 30 frames with cursor key
  • press 'T' key to cut

(repeat as necessary -- you might even automate this)

Your reason? If it's to have a regular series of jump cuts between two clips you might be able to load each and use Multicam editing to switch back and forth.

"Multicam editing enables easy cutting of various recordings of the same scene from different camera perspectives. The program monitor displays footage from two sources next to each other. This footage can be cut together in realtime just like in a real studio." From MEP 2013 PDF file.

Regards,

Carl
