I purchased the SoundForge 9 and it serves me well. But when I migrated my computer to Windows 10, I could not install the SF9 using the same Install programme that I used previously (W7). Could you help me in this respect?
The article linked to above is for a network installation that uses a licence manager on a server for multi seat installations eg in schools, colleges etc. and is not applicable to a standalone installation.
Sound Forge Pro 9, this is an old discontinued Sony product which, IIRC, requires activation on the Sony servers which are no longer available for this product.
AFAIK activation on the Magix product servers for SF 9 is not available - Magix purchasing the Sound Forge products in 2016 - 9 years after the release of SF 9.
Which version of SF9 do you have?. Some, like the version that came with some Sony turntables can no longer be activated. If you have a valid serial code for SF-9 Pro or AS, that can still be activated AFAIK. All the user info from Sony was ported to Magix during the acquisition in 2016. Try downloading SF-9 from Magix Service Center or Download Center, install and try to activate again. To download, you will have to log-in to Magix using the log-in you used for Sony.
btw, you can also use your SF-9 serial to get the upgrade discount to the current version.
