Had to re-install windows after an adobe CC update messed up my PC, Had to re-install Soundforge 14 after that. Cannot register the software, error message telling me that the license registration code is for a different product. already deactivated it in my account, still cannot register.
@Johan-Bos Have you checked you installed the correct version? Are you using the installer from your user account?

@Johan-Bos That's really odd. If you're sure that you are using the correct serial number and the correct version of Sound Forge I would suggest you ask support at infoservice@magix.net for guidance on what to do next. Maybe it is a problem with their license servers?
Try downloading the latest build from the 'Magix Service Center> My Products' or from Magix Download Center. Otherwise as @SP. stated, email Magix with your purchase info
