serial number for PC check and tuning

Chelsie-Jensen wrote on 10/22/2021, 5:56 PM

I just downloaded the Vegas Movie Studio (purchased from bestbuy), the email I received with the serial numbers provided me with two serial numbers (movie maker and the sound cleaning). After registering the two programs (movie maker and sound cleaning) I then had the PC Check and Tuning shortcut and registration came up on my screen asking for the serial number. I have no serial number for this. Please be patient and kind with my simple minded questions, this is new to me, and I am very grateful for any help I can get. Thanks for holding my hand.

I have the HP Pavillion360 that I purchased at the same time if that helps, thanks.

@Chelsie-Jensen

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, albeit possibly the wrong one for your product! Please read this post. Exactly which version of Movie Studio did you buy? I suspect it was version 17, or earlier, in which case you do need to post your questions at the dedicated Vegas forum linked in that post.

However, I'm pretty certain that, like many other Magix products, PC Check and Tuning is an optional add-on installation to the products you have bought; unfortunately, the user has to "opt out" rather than "opt in" on the installation screen. I suspect you did not see this option.

Because it is an option you do not have a serial number for it unless you choose to subsequently buy it, sorry!

If you do not want it (and, quite frankly, the usual advice here is to NOT install it) then I would simply uninstall it and forget all about it!

BTW, we always try to be patient and kind in this forum!
