Hi Mike

Login to your account at magix.com with the email address and password used to register the software - the email address does not have to exist, unless you have forgotten the password.

You can then update your email address in your account. Once that is done you should be able to register the software iwith the new address, alternatively register it with the old email address, again it does not have to exist.

Hi Mike.

As long as you deactivate your current version of MEP on your current computer or have only one registered copy in use you can log in to your account on your new computer using the email address your account currently has and download and activate your software.

Your computer ID can be found in Windows / Settings / About.

The computer id required for manually activting the program is a MEP generated number, that bears no relation to the Windows computer id, by which the computer and registered products are recognized by the activation /licence check servers.

There is no need for the program generated ID if you are activating online , download the program install, and use the existing serial number number the ID ans erial number check are done automatically.

Did I add some confusion?

Skip the new machine fer now ... I uninstalled both MEP2012 & MEP Plus 2016 (due to some issues) in my current machine. However I did not De-Activate any of these programs prior to using 'Revo Un-Installer' which I later discovered is not necessarily what Magix would like you to do? Then went ahead and re-installed MEP Plus 2016 (directly from my original Licensed Disc).

Although I used my old email address/password to initially 'Log In' and update my data, the old registration data/serial number remained online with Magix. Now I'm unable to get past the prompt 'Already Registered' and unable to open MEP:

I located my Computer ID (thank you) but never saw that prompt again ....

Hi Mike.

It should be in your Magix account My Products page.

If it is not possible from there then you should be able to raise a ticket with Magix and ask them to deactivate the program for you.

Which account/email address are you using to login - the old one or the new?

Did you change the email address of the old account you initially registered the software with to your current email address?

Nope - for MEP 2016 it is a lifetime licence.

I removed your links above as I could still decipher your serial number I would suggest you delete the images from your website.

If you still have 2 accounts at magix.com, I would suggest you email infoservice@magix.net and ask them to merge them to 1 account and transfer your product registrations.

If only have one account, email them regarding the issue with registration after changing the email address.

The lack of the My Products option is puzzling, the only possible explanation is you have 2 accounts and are logging in with the one that does not have products registered to it.

Disc based registrations are registered with Magix - my early versions MEP 14 and 16 are still listed in my account.
