@CubeAce 😂😂 I think I need to go to bed, I didn't see that box & it has other options, I now have no idea what was there before & if any of them might have worked 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂 It's a strange place to put an audio option, most are below the video options,

@CubeAce

I'm sure it was in Mixer earlier 🤔 & there was a window in settings I can't find at the moment,

The System Sounds slider can be left at the off position but the other three must be brought up to show a decent level in the application being used. This often means turning down the volume of any external source plugged in to the speaker output. My amplifier volume control seldom gets to go above 2. If you are using your headphones, the volume would have to be turned down by the controls on the headphones. Look at where my Windows mixer slider levels are set to get the correct level in screen recorder. Sometimes it can be less depending on the sound source, but rarely less than half way.

@CubeAce 👍 Apart from having to open MMS to record I think that is another reason I stopped using it's capture option, My Amps are 'over there', I'd have to get out of my seat, so I don't touch them. 😁 I tend to be a bit of a night-owl, I don't use my headphones & the volume of the amps/Windows, speakers below the desk is loud enough to hear clearly even at 3am when I'm conscious of not disturbing the neighbours. Geforce Alt+F9 is all I need to do & records at the level I'm listening at. It's good to get the Studio Mix thing finally working tho. Thanks 👍

Hi Gid.

If you are not listening in surround sound.

You could set the RealTek mixer to quad sound and plug the stereo sound output to the rear channels. You will then have a slider to control the volume to your amps again without it effecting the volume of the recording. Just plug the amp line inputs into the rear speakers socket and use the surround sliders to set a lower level on the rear speaker channel. Set that to the maximum listening level you want when the recording is full volume in the screen recorder and then from there whenever the recorder is in use you can adjust the sound mixer as usual to control the volume as before without effecting your screen recording.

In general it not a good idea to have an amp turned up full while giving an input a low level of volume. You get a much cleaner sound and tighter bass with a higher input volume and lower output volume. This is just a suggestion, not a recommendation.

Glad you at least got Stereo mix working. If there are any other drivers for your motherboard on the website such as for the Chipset or Lan, it might be a good idea to install those as well as they don't normally come in the normal Windows update notifications. There may even be a newer versions of your Bios, memory or disc controllers.

The Eazy Update program that ASUS provides (assuming that was installed) doesn't work as it should in my experience. Not once has it informed me of available motherboard updates.
