Hi,

When you click the "record button" on the program monitor do you get a menu like this only with the "screen" window missing?

Yes - I have a screen a bit like that with 5 options:

DV camera, HDV cameras, Video, Single Frame and Audio then a gap next to audio where screen capture should be.

Hi,

OK, I am using Movie Edit Pro 18 so not surprised that you don't have the AVCHD image.  You said you just installed it.  Did you just buy it or did you buy it some time ago and have just decided to install it?  The reason I ask is that MEP 17 is two versions behind the current version.

If it is a brand new installation, I would suggest that you go to the magix site, log in to your account with your registration information and see if there is an update or a patch for MEP 17, if there is, download and install it and let us know if that solves the problem.

Go to this link https://support2.magix.com/customer/en then click on downloads and follow the screen instructions.  I can't actually get you to the update/patch section for your version because I don't have MEP 17.

Failing that, you may need to re-install the application.

Hi

MEP usually comes in three versions  - Basic, Plus or Premium.  Which version do you have?

The Basic version does not have the Screen recording capability.
