Saving a new Default workspace

Vince-HA wrote on 5/13/2020, 2:26 PM

I have altered the look/layout of my newly purchased Sound Forge Pro 14 workspace. Every time I close and restart the program, I'm back at ground zero.

With all of my preferences set (color settings, toolbars, hardware inputs) I have saved the workspace as "Default" and other "new" names but I lose all of the changes every time... very frustrating.

How do I get my changes to "stick" and not be forced to start over every time I use the software?

{Win10 64-bit intel core i7}

Thank You

Hi @Vince-HA and welcome to the Sound Forge forum.

After changing colors and such in the "Options> Preferences> Display" Click 'Apply' and 'OK.'

For layouts, edit an existing default as desired and select "View> Window Layouts> Save layout as", enter a name and click OK. Then select "Organize layouts" to confirm the new layout is assigned to "Current layouts" in menu" (1-9). If not, assign it .
The user layouts should be accessible just below the SF defaults, Clicking one should switch it and it should become the default until you change it.
