Save Edited File?

OK, this should not be that difficult, but for the life of me I cannot find the solution.  I have been through the Help files, even watched a few tutorials but I have not found the solution.

I am editing .m4v files and simply want to Save the edited file to a folder without overwriting the original.  Do I just Export the movie?  Or is there an easier and QUICKER method to save the original edited file?

Using Plus MX version 18

I am sorry, but the editor will not save the complete answer I have written ! I try to repete it under here:

Save the project with a different name ! Go to FILE > SAVE PROJECT AS (Vacation1, Vacation1a etc) A project file (with ending --.MVP) is not a videofile, just a 'reference list', and can't be shown on any other device than in the editing program. When the editing is finished, you must export the project to get a video file.

And remember that you'll never destroy the original .m4v-files, they will never be overwritten.
