Samplitude - Buffer (Optimal) Settings?

Hello everybody!

So, I have bought the newest T-Racks 5 and I have experienced a subtle delay in the response of its VST plugins.

Could someone please tell me the best possible configuration to avoid this problem in Samplitude?

For example, is VIP object buffer 1024 better/faster than 4096?

Is there some Buffer "OPTIMAL SETTINGS" for Samplitude in this case?

Hi.

I don't own Samplitude so can't comment on the specifics in your question, but as a simple rule the higher the buffer setting the longer the "delay" is possible. However, very important point, you should generally set the buffer as low as possible to suit your computer. Depending on the speed at which your computer can handle one, or several audio tracks simultaneously without audible glitches, you should be able to reduce the buffer below 1024.

Personally, using other audio software on my i7 6700k processor-based machine, I usually use a buffer size of 512. I suspect I could reduce this further (to 256 or lower) but 512 guarantees me glitch-free audio.
