Sam11Producer exception

When selecting a sound from the soundpool, and putting it in the project VIP, I get an failure in module "SamProducer.exe", address 0X00408F33 exception 0Xc000005, ACCESS_VIOLATION, error
I get a crash - is it because it is an audio type OGG? In the dialog window it lists other VIPs that are not open and not in use. Is this a bug ?
This is the only time it crashes, and so I cannot use the soundpool wavs ?

Hi,

I use Magix Music Maker 16 Premium I faced same problem when I contacted Magix they got no proper answer for this but asked me to run systemcheck utility by Maigx. I am surprised even in Sam Music studio you got this message.

Only to avoid problem in Magix I have spent two days in re-installing OS, updating and instaling software. I still did not find any solution. Hope you will find sooner.

In your Sam Music Studio can you re set soundpool like we do in Magix Music Maker? if so try that and see.

Let's see if I face this problem again.

It's not OGG being the problem, I have the Samplitude 11 Producer as well, and when I click for File Manager Sound pool in a new arrangement, I am able to load the files.

Do the samples play on their own, if you were to test them outside of the program?

I loaded the identical "insistent 1" sample as you showed in your screen shot, as well as a couple others, with even the synth opened.

It has to be something else on your local system causing that crash; access violation sounds like the call for the file is being denied, that means Windows permissions to me...

Do you have full administration rights on your PC, does it require you to login?

I AM ADMINISTRATOR. Maybe because it installs soundpool stuff on C and not F or E or D - my other audio drives ?
Do you have full administration rights on your PC, does it require you to login?

I am assuming this, and your other issue, may be related. But, that said...

Personally, I would prefer that the programs, media, and (in progress) project files are all on the same drive.

To have them spread across different drives is only asking for trouble. I know...I know....it shouldn't be an issue, but we're talking about computers here!

You can still use your other drives for archiving old project files and storing finished (project) audio files.

Just my two cents.

I always install the program and all of its components to the default directy that the program and its components are set. So, all these are set to my C drive. All my projects are set to a different drive (external) that I can take from one computer to another.
